Occasionally I duplicate posts by mistake. So I looked for the delete button to get rid of the cloned post but there doesn't seem to be one. There used to be a "delete this post" option. Where's it gone?

Difficult for me to see, because I have the delete option for all posts - but, if you go into 'edit' can you select the delete option that way?

Until the magic delete button reappears, maybe just go back and edit/erase the post?

I just posted and tried to delete it through editing. No delete option appears for me, nor does the board allow me to submit a modified post consisting of nothing (can't erase it all).

So I wonder why some of us would have different options than others?

I only have different options because I moderate the forums. I have no idea why you (and all other users who are not on the moderating team) are unable to delete or modify your posts. Weird.  Usually you could delete duplicate posts or edit within a a certain amount of time of posting.  I think this is something that Ethan will have to sort out, because I have no idea how you would add that feature back (though there is certainly a way to do it)

That's what I did. Well, sorta did. I just erased the clone and wrote a little note asking where the delete button is.

I think you need 5 characters in the main post frame. Just erase what's there and type in some %^")@ and leave it at that. If everybody did that, it might get the delete button back sooner (sneaky sneaky.)

DrinkTheElixer is a moderator. That's why she has more options.

Exactly, so I'm going to have alot of non-sequitor posts like "I like cheese" and "Hasselhoff."

Got it. I think the delete button should be an option for underlings as well.

Well there used to be one so people could delete their cloned posts. Maybe it was an oversight, and normal service will resume??

Ha, if we put disturbing pics in the field of posts we're not allowed to delete, I'm guessing the delete button will be restored fairly sharpish.
I have quite a collection on photobucket.
