But since when did Arvo Part and George Washington join REM?

so no Scott McCaughey this time?  or is that old news, and i just forgot?  i'll hope these ere growers too, as i wasn't too impressed on first listen.  they just seemed a bit bland, but discoverer has grown a lot in a couple days.

I saw this on Pollstar before here, which is only relevant because the brief article says "Meanwhile, the world holds its collective breath as it waits for an R.E.M. tour announcement. Stay tuned."

Any fire with that smoke, Ethan?

Meanwhile, the trailer looks and sounds very promising.

Pretty sure Scottie is involved.  I'd be terribly disappointed if that's not the case. Though he generally doesn't get song writing credit, I view him as integral to the band at this point and would be as devastated were he to no longer be in the camp as I was when Bill left.

Confirmed - look at the trailer again.  :06. Life is good.

Alligator Aviator:  "Animal" meets something of "Accelerate"--but better?  Yes, sounds like it.

Mine Smell Like Honey:  That title made me worry...deeply.  BUT catchy chorus!

Marlon Brando etc:  So glad that the "Lay me down" bits we heard months back have made it onto what sounds like an absolutely beautiful song.

So...we've got one very good song already, one good song already, and we've heard snippets of at least one great one (Marlon Brandon), and two more that will be no worse than "good" AND we have the mystery of "Blue" and "Uberlin" still...

We're guaranteed an album as good as "Green."  How about that!!!!
