just wondering if anyone is sure of the date for this gig? the quality is unbelieveable compared to the other '81 recordings!

Due to REM-timeline they played "dangerous times" live only in 1980 and 81.

i was looking for the specific date, like month, day, year cos i'd like to find a copy of it somewhere online

I don't think there is a known recording with both songs played in this order. They were usually the other way round.
I have all known recordings from this era though, so if you want one just let me know...

Well to narrow it down both songs were played at these shows

1980-04-05 - St. Mary's Episcopal Church - Athens - USA (first show no recording))
1980-06-06 - Wuxtry Records - Atlanta - USA *
1980-10-04 - Tyrones - O.C. - Athens - USA  *
1981-03-13 - Tyrones - O.C. - Athens - USA  *
1981-04-02 - New York New York Club - Augusta - USA  *
1981-04-10 - Tyrones - O.C. - Athens - USA  *
1981-05-12 - Tyrones - O.C. - Atlanta - USA

* indicates setlists where the songs were played in order of Dangerous Times/All the Right Friends.

I can't find a show where they are replayed in reverse order and the join does seem relatively seamless.

me neither its puzzling    especially since the quality is much better than any of the other 80/81 recordings, possibly the best ive heard from this era...
