Hey, so can anyone say why I can't log in as stiperules!ok.........I've tried all sorts of different ways ie logging on via aol, internet explorer, even someone else's computer......nothing. I've tried clicking on 'forgot your password? It says a message has been sent, but no message appears!

It won't help with the username issue, because you can't change your email until you can login.
But I haven't received emails from murmurs for a long time - I started receiving them when I changed my murmurs email to a gmail account. I think somehow my email provider must have been filtering or bouncing email from murmurs - I have no idea why. But my internet provider doesn't typically filter any emails, so I don't understand it.
A mod in another community I read said that if a few people with X email provider mark the emails as "junk" or "spam", then the entire system that provides the email (gmail, yahoo, etc) decides emails from that address are spam and sends them to a spam folder or deletes them for everyone, bounces them back, etc.... and then it takes a while for the system to re-learn that this address does not equal spam.
But I haven't received emails from murmurs for a long time - I started receiving them when I changed my murmurs email to a gmail account. I stopped getting Murmurs emails too. They don't make it into any folder, spam or otherwise.

Not getting emails is the least of my problems - it won't let me log on, and yet it allowed me to sign up with a new username!!!!

Was the email address you used for this new username the same email you used for your old one?
