No your eyes don't deceive you, and it's not April 1st!
On of the supermarket chains here has just launched the cold lasagne sandwich! Pasta sheets, mince, and sauces all between two slices of bread!
Now I must admit to eating one in the past, but I was a student and hungry, but go out and buy one
Other odd sandwiches eaten in the past, curry (cooked a curry and had no rice in the house so I put it in a sandwich), Noodle sandwich - actually if in a pitta it's rather nice :o, pasta bake sandwich. All perfectly edible but in the privacy of your own home, and certainly not purchased.

I'd make one at home, but I'd never buy one in a shop!
It doesn't sound like something you can eat on the go without making a mess.

Good times, I'm okay. Bad times, I'm okay.

Isn't a calzone (spelling) just a lasagne sandwich?

Not really, calzone is more of a folded pizza. Lasagna sandwiches would have pasta sheets in them as well as whatever bread you use so you're really bulking up on carbs. There's no pasta in a calzone.

Lasagna sandwich?? I'm sorry, but that's not real lasagne at all! You don't eat pasta together with bread: never. Come to Northern Italy, Bologna especially, and you'll eat deliciuos lasagne

I thinks it's the bacon that got my tummy turning.....a few strips is one thing, BUT they really took bacon to another level!

Something about this thread reminded me of this monstrosity, which some friends of mine actually recreated. I'd find the photos of their one but I can't be arsed.
