If Ha (We Get Paid For It) is indeed Hallelujah, which I do not believe for a fraction of a second, it would be odd that it has been referred to as a song demoed for CIN rather than a reworked older song (yes, I realize those are not mutually exclusive categories). Where's Hoffi when you need him?

I must have missed the part where someone said "Ha (We Get Paid for It)" and "Hallelujah" are the same song. As for the latter being on the new compilation, there's been lots of misinformation about these three songs posted here so it's hard to know what's factual and what's not.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

My bad, I meant whatever song this "Unknown song" is. I had HWGPFI on my mind due to the thread title. A simple "you mean that 'unknown song' that LST 390 keeps referring to" would have sufficed.
