Michael said that "Sing For The Submarine" was especially for the fanclubbers present yesterday night. You'll hear it on the recording.

thanks so much to those who recorded the show and posted these great pictures!
just got back last night from our last three shows (though lucy and i are considering istanbul - trying to delay the inevitable, i guess!)

the news that peter's guitar had been recovered certainly cheered us up, and we decided that the occasion shouldn't pass unmarked, so we used the back of some of moon's work notes (a noble sacrifice!), and used andrea's marker to draw the letters for the 'return of the rickenbacker' sign.  it took some organising, but we had a dress rehearsal in the queue before we went in, and then agreed we'd put the sign up when the house lights went down. to make sure everyone knew what to do, we sent a note with instructions along the front row.  it worked like a charm, so thanks to everyone who helped!

the setlist was great, third time in a row hearing just a touch, and exhuming mccarthy and finest worksong, and the return of 7 chinese bros were all wonderful.  submarine worked brilliantly yet again, and sounded even better than in oberhausen. so thanks guys, i feel well and truly spoilt!

Sue,

A job well done. You guys should feel proud having made the sign and having your pics posted on HQ.
