Thanks for all of the well wishes, it was a very nice one indeed.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Belated happy birthday wishes to you, DN. Hope you were able to spread the celebration across the long weekend. Cheers!
I looked for it,
And I found it,
Miles Standish proud,
Congratulate me. ...
Answer me a question,
I can't itemize, I can't think clearly,
To me for reason it's not there,
I can't even rhyme ...

Saw it was your birthday Mr. Nate, hesitated whether to congratulate you on this thread or the Hurricane one. remember it isn´t the storm that kills but the government! Sincere happy birthday

Thanks, y'all. It's been a rather eventful one. Glad it's nearly over in a way, been suffering from a toothache that's most likely going to result in the third root canal I've ever had to have in my lifetime. On the upside, we fared pretty well here in Raleigh Hurricane Irene wise. Glad that is over too.

Happy Birthday! (oh good, I did reply back in 2008 too)
Good to hear that Raleigh made it through relatively ok.

One day, if I'm old or dead
One day, can't get out of bed
I hope and pray the night before, we were out of our heads
Cause I never want to lose the Days of Wine and Booze
We all go back to where we belong: A month of saturdays, Hallelujah!

Happy birthday Driver Nate !! I wish you all the best!
It's the poison that it measures
Brings illuminating vision
It's the knowing with a wink
That we expect in Southern women
It's the wolf that knows which root to dig to save itself
It's the octopus that crawled back to the sea.
