I have a few posters and other things that I've gotten them to sign.  I would not ever buy something with their signature and I would nver sell anything that I got signed, they are worth too much to me.

I mean, take my Minus 5 Album that now has 11 autographs on it, I jsut got two from Wilco but Jeff was too fast for me.  Would this thing be worth any money?  Who knows, I'd rather give it to Scott than sell it.

now what I would be interested in would be a trade if I was sure the other item was real.

I have two posters from ATS that I got signed from the band at the soundcheck in berkeley.  I'd trade one of them to a fan for a different signed item...

What exactly would you be looking for? And what sort of proof would you need to know the item was a true autograph?

how accessible are they after concerts for autographs? I mean, do they go backstage and only meet people with special permission to be there, or do they hang out somewhere else?

I just hung around near their buses (behind the venue) and Peter came over to sign stuff about 20 mis after the show finished - I think luck has a lot to do with it.  If you are at a venue where the buses can be in a "private" parking lot - they could leave without seeing you!

Not really on Topic but as no one bought the Mike Mills signed 'Fables' flat that i put on eBay, (and it is real!) if anyone would like it, please email me on emmas_wardrobe@hotmail.com as i really need to empty my house but really don't want to throw it away!!! I will send it free of charge.
