There is minimal permanent seating around the edges - the seating plan makes it look like there's a fair bit, but there isn't.  I'd be surprised if there's enough for more than 200-300 people seated, if that.

Unless it is like the top seating plan, and they've got temp seats round the side and back, but from the sounds of it, they haven't.  There was seating like this when I saw The Who there, but normally for concerts, it's not there.

It's always really, really hot in there - horrible sweaty passout type hot.  But it's a pretty small venue when you compare it to other arenas, so there's nowhere where you're too far away from the stage to see what's going on.

Hope you enjoy when you come down :)

:D

The queues aren't normally too bad for the loos and that - I've even ventured that way once or twice, but I tend not to drink when I go there, so I don't have to pay over-inflated bar choices.

Sorry, have I read this right, that some who have bought tickets for the Millenium Stadium will not get them for CIA? Why don't they play 2 nights there then? Or 3 if needed?

If they play 2 nights - then it means they are playing 5 in a row (which I'm sure they can handle), 3 is not possible due to other dates of the tour - and 2 might not be possible if there is anything else on at the CIA on August 26.

Looking at the schedule, there are free dates around the other UK gigs. Reckon they could do it, if they wanted.

I had originally bought seats for MS and the email this week said that these had been cancelled and the only option is standing at the Arena - for the same price. Not impressed with this at all - me and Mum aren't as young as we used to be and seats was so much more conventient - no worries about having to get there early, or bustling to see, or not being able to get a drink/go to the loo for fear of losing space/one another.

I've said on the "News" thread that I might have bought the standing tickets if they'd have been cheaper.......

Oh, and if they did an extra night, prob couldn't manage that now anyway due to work - we'd booked the time off.....

They travel with at leaset 7 buses and two trucks - the logistics probably aren't they straight forward!

You are indeed correct.  Depending on the news source, it's either about a 1,000 who won't get tickets, or 12,000 who won't.

This is absolutely shit for fans.

To be offered only 'discounts' for the other shows when they've already paid full whack for the Millenium Stadium gig. How does that work then?? or are fans just being fleeced!!??

I guess it means - "sorry you can't go to the Cardiff show - but here, go to Twickers or Southampton or Manchester and get a fiver off your ticket price"!

NME reporting 18,000 tickets sold for Cardiff, capacity 35,000. Switch is due to poor ticket sales.

This situation is so sad. It would be great if they could another date at the smaller Cardiff venue, but who knows.
