It seems the biggest problem is getting a registration.  I've been told to just try back perioically and maybe there will be an opening.

Help - I'm a little new to all this.  I got registered at DIME and downloaded and installed BitTorrent and it seems that the version of BitTorrent that's available for Mac is NOT accepted by DIME.  I don't have access to a PC.  Can anyone recommend Mac torrent software?

I followed their links for a client to install and they came up empty.

It took me two days to get a registration and now I'm hooked!  I just burned this show to play in the car and it's good quality, I think.  I dont know how the taper put up with the person whistling after every song or the fool yelling "Everybody Hurts," but hey, that just adds to the concert experience.  And makes me conscious of what the heck I'm saying during concerts!  You can hear the chatter during the less popular numbers and between songs.

And I love how during Fall on Me, the audience is singing all three parts - Michael, Mike AND Bill.

Once you get registered at DIME, if you still have questions use www.simplehelp.net.  I couldn't make heads or tails of the DIME stuff on the web - too techie - but this site spells it out r-e-a-l-l-y   s-l-o-w-l-y for someone like me and has screen shots.  Just search for what you need.  Example:  "bittorrent mac" or "flac to cd mac" and I got perfect instructions.

If you look at the stats on the main page theres like 206 new users in 24 hours, so theres a lots of accounts come up you just have to find out whens the best time to get one.

I got an acct about noon time PST, took about 1 hour of hitting refresh every 10-15 mins.

There's currently a tech mess going on with DIME.  Torrents aren't downloading or seeding and haven't been all night.  There's a message about the torrent has been rejected by the tracker, etc. The moderator (in Europe so 6 hours difference) said it was fixed, but it sounds like maybe not.  I'm at work right now, so have to wait until this evening to try again.  

Because, now of course, I see a bunch of old stuff I want.:D

I deleted all of my seeding torrents, then downloaded them again, and everything seems to be working now.

I lost out, I'm afraid - the message I got was 'Access Forbidden'. When I asked why I got the following:

I'm sorry, but because of serious abuse by some ex-members, we had to
block signup from AOL connections in the UK.

Short of creating the account somewhere other than home, or changing
ISPs, no.  There are many other trackers where similar fare (and much of
the same shows as those on DIME) are shared, who haven't been abused by
those miscreants, and who haven't had to take such measures.  We hope
you'll enjoy your membership on some of them.  Good luck.
