I remember reading that story probably five years ago and laughed so hard I cried! Where is it now - does anyone know??

Maybe there's something we should know (and we don't) regarding the stop of the narration...I'd love reading more.

I stopped writing Mike Mills Wakes Up a couple years ago and I think it got wiped from murmurs when the board got upgraded it. I saved it though on my own crate, except maybe I might have lost the last one or 2 episodes. I'll have to ask Ethan if he wants such feeelth on the board nowadays. I'll also see if it's still on the murmurs database.

Um kay, looks like all my threads previous to 2005 have been wiped  when the board moved :(
I'm pretty sure I backed up MMWU on my HD though. Ethan or Mike monktbd, can you see if any of my original MMWU is accessible? I can't find it.

I never really "finished" it, it was never really a thing with a beginning or end. I started doing it in 2002 as a parody, and people liked it so I kept on doing them whenever I felt like it. After a couple of years I ran out of steam with it. I think the last part I wrote was 2004, so there is quite a bit. I think the last few installments might be lost as I don't think I bothered to save them but if it's cool with Ethan I don't mind re-posting what I have saved. Who knows, my muse might come back and inspire more? Anything is possible. ;)

Tell ya what, I'll repost the original. Not all at once, there is 2 years and a bit worth of it. But I'll put up the first couple of bits I wrote and if people still want it I can post the rest. As for the muse we'll just have to see, tricky things, muses. Becaue i don't want to work with the deliberately broken code of Dork Inside Edition, I'll put it in whatever Flowers Strewn is now called. At long last! Don't you love it when the anticipation is made hungrier by little tastes that take you to the edge, but not quite over it? No? You think that's being a fanny tease?

I remember reading that part about Bill coming to Mike's rescue way back in, jeez, 2004 and wondering what escapade this was detailing.  I thought it was funny, too, and being a new lurker, didn't quite get it.  Eventually figured out it was tongue-in-cheek... and wish fulfillment.:D

Does anyone remember "Near Wild Heaven" from the http://www.fanfiction.net ?  I looked for it a while back, just to see if it was still there, and it wasn't.

My SIL has sold a few short stories, and I told her about it, and she replied, "That's one of the drawbacks of being famous - people who have too much free time will do stuff like that."

If you never saw it, it's Bill, Mike, and Peter having sex with each other, and trust me, it leaves NOTHING to the imagination.

I once read something like this with Duran Duran as characters, but i didn't got the point. It wasn't funny, it wasn't interesting, it wasn't real, it was just creepy!

My sister was a big Duran Duran fan back in the day, and finally got to see them a few years ago.  I'll have to tell her about that. :p
