Road Movie costs 1p + shipping from Amazon Marketplace UK. If you really want it that badly, get somebody to mail it to you. It would cost them about £5 to buy it from Amazon and mail it to you.

Perhaps you should sign up to the Senior Members forum. Maybe someone there can hook you up with a free copy.
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

Then I suggest you simply ask the hundreds of Brits on this board if someone would be willing to help you out with mailing you the (legally purchased ) copy...

Mostt,
hi from Russia! Can you turn on the receiving mails function or send a message to me? i'll try to help you legally!

FYI, happy guys from US/EU, amazon does not work with Central/Asian parts of Russia because a half of their packages are lost, thanks a lot to our great delivery service and mail system. yes, i always seek to buy legal production, but i have no garantee that i get my package from USA or Europe.

so please try to understand that guy, it's really hard to get any legal production, especially for non-Moscow residents!

hi,
i live in moscow, russia, and just a few days ago i saw several licensed rem dvds for sale at the Gorbushka mall/ renok. i remember they had parallel and i think road movie. i didn't check what zone they were or what price, but at least there for sale, and most dvd players here in moscow are sold multizone or can be "made" that way, as i paid 20$ to have my pioneer region 5 dvd player "made" into a multizone one. (i don't know how legal that was, but i've got lots of zone 1 dvds from the states.) anyway, i where do you live in russia?  cause if you're near moscow, it might be cheaper and easier to buy here as opposed to shipping it in.

no, the dvds i saw were licensed. i bought "in time" here, but i paid almost twice what it cost in the states, and it came out probably a couple months later. so i waited for the "live" dvd and had my parents buy and send it from the states, as here at gorbushkla it was also twice the amazon.com price. so i don't doubt road movie is legally available here, but it willl cost more than what you (or i) would want to pay. there may be pirated copies as well (i know they put "in time" and "live" on a 2-sided pirated dvd, but as others have said here, that's not the way to go.

Go stand outside, click your heels together three times and "whistle as the wind blows". You'll see what I mean.

i may have come across as too "strict," so to speak, as i don't think we should taunt Mostt, but also we shouldn't encourage copying or uploading licensed material. but i do understand where Mostt coming from, as it's hard enough to find good/ rare dvds/ cds in moscow, which as he states, is like another country compared to the rest of the country, where i can imagine it's near impossible to buy this stuff. so in that sense, it is basically commerically unavailable, as you can't expect someone to pay for shipping 3 times more than the price of the product.

i know things such as road movie are for sale in moscow, but you'ld have to look long and hard for it (i did a quick russian google search for it and found nothing) and then if you do find it, it may cost 30-40$. and that's in a country where pirated movies/ music are for sale for 3-4$, so you can see why it's hard to pay 10x more for a licensed version. not that i'm endorsing pirated copies, but i do own some (some foreign movies never make it to the russian market or don't have the original english language on them--charlie wilison's war was banned here and evan almighty was only in russian, for example). so trying to be legal and moral here does pt one between and a rock and a hard place, and sometimes there's no easy answer.

well, just my two cents.  and Mostt, if you don't find a better alternative, i can try to get a cheap (maybe used) road movie dvd from the states brought over, but it would be zone 1.

I can understand Mostt's frustration but their way of conducting themselves on here is not exactly good manners.

Despite being repeatedly told on the earlier pages of the thread that it's against the rules of this site to provide a link to a download- which means no-one will post a link (or if they do it'll be removed)- they have sidestepped such posts and kept asking for someone to provide a link anyway. Even where people have tried to be constructive and help with a legitimate purchase they still said "I'd rather just have the download link cheers".

The internet is a big place and there's probably somewhere out there to download it if you can find it. This is not that place.

It is Murmurs' official policy that trading of commercially available material is not allowed here. Period.

Mostt, if you continue to ask people to give you links to pirated material, I will have to ban you. The other users in this thread have given you a number of good options to buy the DVD legally. If you're too cheap or too poor to take advantage of them, that doesn't give you the right to ignore the rules and the law. This is not a joke, and I don't want to see anything else about it here.

Sorry that this is a day too late, and probably not relevant to Russian fans,  but REM Road Movie was on Sky Arts channel last night (9pm UK time, just after Led Zeppelin 1969 gig). I don't have Sky and I'm a bit of a technophobe but I guess anyone with a fancy digibox can probably still access it.
