What a night. Ignoreland? Second Guessing? Time After Time? Most of Accelerate? The best thing about the setlist is how well Accelerate's songs just merged into the past. They sounded like they've been in the catalog for 15 years already.

it was very aerobic. I was running between five locations and twittering, video phoning and taking these.

I'm very sore today actually.

Ha!  Must have been a great night - the photos are fantastic.  The background screens look amazing with the way they display and break up images.

Next time, you're going to have to do some stretches a few days before to prepare, or go to the gym.  Stipe does.:D

Thanks Ethan!
I gather you ran in front of Yensen and I several times last night, (we were in front guitar station side) but I suppose you may forgive that my attention was on stage happenings. Glad you could make it out, I know we had a blast, and your photos look great! :)

Hey Ethan!

I saw you crouching down in front of the barrier. That security guy seemed to be giving you a hard time didn't he? At one time you were kneeling right infront of me and my wife and I considered saying something to you but you seemed too involved.

What a great show it was!

Thanks a ton for the pics and updates Ethan! That's a lot to keep up with!

Anywho, make time for ATL in your calendar for sure. It's shaping up to be a really promising Homecoming party. :D

Hi Ethan! Great photos! I was right up there in front too. I kinda sorta thought that was you! I wasn't exactly sure, so I didn't say anything. I'm in one of your photos, its one of the black and white ones of just the fans. Most of my face is blocked out but I can see my watch on my wrist. I had on a grey halter top (reconstructed concert T), red hair. You were right "under" me when the guard said something to you. Gosh, I wish I had said something now. Either way, great show. Six more to go...!:)

It's so rewarding to see one of "our own" with such a strong connection to the guys. I remember when you were just a little kid following them around, waiting outside the venue, hoping for a wave or a smile. Look at you now! Wow! Take it easy, though, don't overdo it! You don't want to be dragging ass by the time they get to Atlanta!

I'll be traveling out to beautiful California and attending the first night @ The Greek. Perhaps our paths will cross? It's been nearly ten years since I've seen the guys in concert. Around Athens, sure. But on stage - not since the UP tour. Since they are playing such an interesting set list thus far, perhaps you can put a little bug in their ear to play "You Are The Everything" for me. I'd appreciate it. I don't talk to them much anymore. haha

Thanks, as well, for your generous donation to Microwave's memorial on behalf of Murmurs. I'm sure many fuzzy and furry creatures will benefit from the gift.

And I used to live in Vancouver... Dammit. Why aren't those bastards at least playing in Montreal? Dammit and re-dammit.

Thanks for the commitment, Ethan.  The 'photo's are great.  Try and find some arnica tablets for your aches and pains!  I was surprised to Mr Stipe (seemingly) minus lurid eye make-up - was it confiscated at the airport or is this his new elder statesman look? ;)
