Got my e-mail, but the pre-sale will be right in the middle of a class that I definitely can't skip! I have a huge paper due. I wish they'd do these in the evening. :(

Greetings From REMHQ!
On Monday March 31st, we will announce Fan Club pre-sale details for R.E.M.'s forthcoming tour of North America.
The Fan Club ticket pre-sale will begin on Tuesday, April 1st at 10:00 AM EDT. At some point between now and Tuesday, you will need to go HERE to register before you can participate in the sale.
How do I create an account with my access code?
• Click the "Your Account" link in the upper right hand corner of the page.
• Create a New Account by clicking the "Continue" button in the left half of the screen
• Create your username and enter it in the "username" field
• Enter your email address - please enter a valid email address as your order confirmations will be sent to that address
• Re-enter your email address for verification
• Create a password and enter it into the "password" field
• Confirm the password by re-entering it into the "confirm password" field
• Finally, enter the Access Code that you are receiving in this email from the R.E.M fanclub into the "Access Code" field and click the "continue" button.
Note: for those of you that bought Fan Club tickets to the US tour in 2004 you may already have created an account and just need to enter your email address, username, password and access code to log into the system. To retrieve your username and password click the "Forgot Username/ User Password" link on the registration page.

I know how you feel. I am in school from 9am-1:30pm and then at the hospital to research my patient until 4pm.....Hopefully my husband will be working at home that day so he can get the tickets.
Most likely going to "Boston". (Why don't they just say Mansfield. It's not even near Boston - when I mapped it out it is about 45 minutes south of Boston unless I did something wrong.) Other choice is Jones since I am between both venues.

There's a passcode for registering, so you need the email to register. Although, it also indicates that if you signed up in 2004, you can still use that account to get tickets this time around.

Just got mine 2 min ago. Have possible jury duty at that time :mad: But I have to call Monday nite to see if I need to go. If not then I can do it from work. Jury duty is on then I got someone to use my card and info for me to get the tixs. Then head out later to buy the cd :D

Due to technical difficulties with the R.E.M. HQ website I've been unable to renew my fan club membership which lapsed sometime in mid-March. They've been working on fixing it for quite some time now but at present my fan club membership has expired and I haven't received the announcement. If I'm shut out from the fan club pre-sale I'm not going to be very happy about it. I have never had a problem renewing online so when it wouldn't go through I brought it to their attention immediately (prior to my fan club membership expiring).
"We were listening to the UNC radio (station) there and they were playing an R.E.M. song. I like R.E.M. fine, but at the end of it, the DJ says, 'Ya that was R.E.M., the sound of the new South'. I looked at my roommate and we said, Gawd, if that's the sound of the new South, I preferred it when it was on the skids. That's how we got the name."

That would be too bad, if I were you I would immediately contact the fan club to see if they can sort something out for you.

I didn't get any e-mails previously, but I did get this one thank god.
I have class at 11 AM on Tuesday. Based on all of your prior experience, should I expect to be able to buy tickets promptly at 10 or might the website get jammed up for over an hour? (The last time I did this was in 2003, and then there were some technical problems, but I'd imagine they improved things in 2004).
