Awww, but they are my friends! :o  People try to tell my that seagulls are rats with wings all the time... I tell them no, bats look more like rats than seagulls. :p

My pet birds are "potty trained," they don't leave "presents" on me.

Well of course not... but has a bird ever pecked your eyes out? (probably not!)  I doubt that it's a common occurrence. :p

'Tis a bird I love, with its brooding note, And the trembling throb in its mottled throat; There's a human look in its swelling breast, And the gentle curve of its lowly crest; And I often stop with the fear I feel-- He runs so close to the rapid wheel.

Somebody loves them!

People carry and pass on more disease and filth than any amount of pigeons ever could.  Pigeons are survivors, clever and should be respected.

I reared a pigeon from a new hatched squab and she lived with me, in my kitchen, for about 7 years until she caught a cold from me and sadly died.  She was a great pet and friend I have great video of my then very small children trying to teach her how to coo (baby pigeons squeek) and how to fly.

I'm with you Rebecca :)

ugh! you're one of them. i'm sure one of the many diseases the pigeon was carrying killed it instead the "cold" it caught from you. piegons are nasty. by the way do your civic doody and eat some pigeon pie.

Ah, a voice of reason! :)

That's really cool, I'd love to raise a baby pigeon.  I've raised baby blue jays, robins, and sparrows before that were unfortunate enough to be abandoned.  I'm known as the "bird girl" in my neighborhood, and if anyone finds an abandoned baby bird they bring it to me.
