According to Livenation.com, the 6/13 Boston show goes on sale on 4/5 at 10am.

Still no NYC date. Very frustrating.

Let's hope so. The sooner the better.

It is definitely getting ridiculous, but I take solace in the fact that I have tickets to the only REM show on sale (besides Austin) already: Sasquatch. But, good God, let's get these babies out.

I can the possibility of the New York Rangers playing at MSG, but for the Knicks, this ain't a possibility. Assuming they are looking at MSG.

Do we know when the fanclub tickets go on sale for North American dates? I'm asking because I noticed that the Boston tickets go on sale to the general public on 4/5, which is coming up very quickly!

I was hoping they would have chose somewhere else in New York this time. The last 2 times I wound up not getting fanclub seats for NYC because of the random system they use. I was able to buy tickets at the box office that day. But that's taking a chance. Last tour it was bringing up seats in the very back of the place.
I think all fanclub should be premium seats. But maybe some of us will get lucky this time. That's if the pre-sale ever happens.:)

I saw REM at the Garden with Fan Club tickets in 2003 and 2004 and had decent, but not great seats. I was in section 5 both times. Which is the second section on the floor. So you're sorta close, but there are no risers, so you're on the same level as everyone in the section in front of you.
I vastly prefer Jones Beach. Depending on ticket prices, I might do both, but Jones Beach for sure. And really, nothing compares to hearing Nightswimming outside with REM on a stage surrounded by water...

Via NME ads, US tickets are apparently on sale at:
http://www.ticketspo...type=0&kwds=rem
and there are no links at HQ.
Hmmm. A puzzlement.

Those are ticket scalpers. They're season ticket holders to the venues, so they can guarantee the seats that they advertise even though they haven't gone onsale to the public yet.
Those are not the actual prices for the tickets, rest assured they will be far cheaper whenever the general sale comes along.

Re: the scalping site.
Good luck to the greedy bastard who thinks he'll get $156 for a lawn seat to this show.

I don't know for sure, but I believe that R.E.M. has not offered a GA section at any major venue in the U.S. in a long, long, time.
I'm hoping they will have one at Merriweather this summer, but my guess is that they will not.

As a rule, MSG is reserved seating only and does not have a GA section unless a band specifically requests it for a mosh pit area. I haven't seen that done in a very long time and REM doesn't strike me as the mosh pit kind of band anyway. :p
