I've just received it too - BIG R.E.M. Announcement ...
9 am (GMT) is 9 am English time, right? So would that be 10 am here in Germany? Unfortunately I'll be working then, with no chance to get to a computer.
However, I can't wait for the announcement. :) It's time they told us. :D

I hope not - I'm away in Cannes for a big chunk of May, then back in Northern Ireland for a bit. And to compound matters, I let my fanclub membership lapse. Do you think it would be possible to reactivate it quite easily?

GMT is Greenwich Mean Time and you have to add an hour to the GMT time. Hmm, came out a bit awkward.
