I'm just a few miles from Cheltenham, and I can tell you we've had very heavy rain for most of today. I think tomorrow is more sunshine and showers....

I agree wholeheartedly.
This "year off" has been the best year personally for me as an REM fan..

Are we living parallel lives?
As a long-time R.E.M. fan, 2006 and early 2007 has been a BLAST for me. Last March i interviewed Scott McC for my radio show, sat within inches from the stage at that Minus 5 show in Pgh, PA; drove to GA to see the guys get inducted into the GA Music Hall of Fame (and met Mike); and saw R. Hitchcock & The Venus 3 twice - each time I got to chat with Scott, Peter, and Bill R. (and I've been a fan of Hitchcock's for longer than i can remember so that was a double-bonus).

Yeah, their year off turned out to be pretty eventful for me. I can't imagine what next year will have in store... :D
