I wasn't going to leave this..not that the person even knows I go to this site(person not on this site).I got a rare im tonight, from a person, that I used to talk to yrs.ago.I,probably hadn't talked to her in maybe 2 yrs...Anyway,not much was said, how are you, anything new, etc. She asked if I was married,I said,I wasn't.I said,I have a cat,she isn't much trouble, followed by a lol, that I leave(lol).Apparently A.,got pissed and left.I mean geez, she never came back on-line,at least, where I could see and that was it.I mean,I leave something a little off-hand,humourous,geez not derogatory about women in any way.Oh well, seem to have quite a few people that don't want to converse with me lately, that's ok,my indifference is only matched by my apathy....I've been civil and cordial....

It's hard to guess without knowing the person you were talking to, but from what you've posted there, I don't think you said anything wrong, Lee. Maybe she just had to go offline for another reason??

You may be right,Etty, not that i'm that indifferent about it really, but she never reappeared, after many hrs and hadn't stayed on-line because of it.It just seems puzzling...,I feel a rant coming on,but won't encompass some of my personal life into this one minor thing, lol. All,I'll say, being single isn't so bad,me and Kitty just played soccer with an ice cube in the kitchen with no complaints about anything...Actually will harp on one thing..,singles sites on the net, been there and done that.I don't make 100k,guess,i'm not eligible...I'm not talking myself blue in the face to try and win someone over, tried it,been there, done that, not going there again.I'll come here or somewhere music oriented, even though think,I was banned from here a few weeks ago,for a few days, for some reason. My computer worked fine, could go to every web-site under the sun,but here.I saw nothing about this site being down for a few days...Well,i'm here now,if anyone wants to ban me,go for it,no objection from me!

if this was on msn there may be another explanation - the service has been crap for the last 48 hours, unable to log in, get thrown out if you ever do log in etc...

if it wasn't on msn, no ideas...sorry

This was a few weeks ago...and funny(not that that I thought it was...),I got 4-5 automated messages from the,"fuck you",thread, with no other threads in my e-mail,just the f.u thread... followed by not being able to get on for 2 days,coincidence...,I don't think so,maybe a moderator,is abusing some power...Why am I still here...,only to stay in touch with people, why i'm posting....I need a lobotomy...Funny thing, ironic,it'll be seen,I've been up all night, maybe some might think, making this up or whatever, well,I'm glad I brought this into light,I got the message,go ahead and ban away,I don't care, lol, this place isn't my life....

Lee, I can assure you no one in crew is messing with your account. Maybe you subscribed to the "fuck you" thread without realizing it. That's happened to me, sometimes a thread I've done a bunch of posts in comes up as one of my subscribed threads, even though I never signed up for it. Please PM me, we can figure out what's going on @ murmurs at least. Where on earth did you get the idea you were going to be banned?? I'm so confused

I can't see anything wrong with the conversation, unless you were once engaged (near engaged, she expected to be engaged at any moment) and then you said bugger off, I'm not ready for all that, I want to live!

then I can see how she may have been a bit pissed at the implied analogy I now have a cat and SHE isn't much trouble lol!

Otherwise, no, can't see anything wrong with what you said.

Take it from me too Lee, you've not been banned or had anything else done to your account! I have a lot of trouble posting too (told you that already) and i'm hardly likely to ban myself! It's always, ALWAYS discussed before anything like that happens and there's certainly been nothing in crew/host about it. Gremlins;)

Murmurs has been really really slow for me since the site redesign.

It's hard sometimes to interpret online conversations, Lee. I doubt she was offended at all. She probably just got booted from the IM program. Happens all the time.

Kitty ice cube soccer? That sounds great! I used to put a ping pong ball in the bathtub for Harley Kitty and he loved playing with that.

I ddin't mean to get so punchy about it and I agree with everyone, computers can be really fickle and unpredictable. The circumstances seemed odd, the way things lined up.I was wondering, there
is this icon in front of murmurs, that is different than any web-site,I go to,it looks like a skull? I have Win XP,so not real familiar with this win. Thanks Etty,Laura for assuring me nothing was done.I feel better about things:) and didn't mean to be so fussy.I had actually met this lady, but we never dated.Yrs.ago did talk on a fairly frequent basis. But,maybe she did just leave,at an odd time.I really don't see how,I could've said anything wrong. This cat loves to play all the time or be near me all the time. She's a sweetie:).

Lee. Learn how to type.  Or at least use a sentence structure that people can have a realistic chance of understanding.  If you do that, maybe people won't ignore you on IM and your internet friends will talk to you more than once every two years.

:D Nice one!

Lee, I like ya no matter how shittily you type. But certainly you can see how it might make it hard to understand you in a medium dominated by the written word...?

Just be you, honey. Only way to attract someone attracted to a guy like you. ;)

Considering its damn near impossible to follow along with Lee's posts on Murmurs (and has been for years and years) its not terribly surprising that in a written medium he has difficulty communicating with people.  Typos, jargon, sentence fragments and the like are all fine (I'm not advocating for perfect grammar or anything) but he is brutal to read and understand.

Sentence structure has nothing to do with me choosing friends either, as I don't make meet new friends on the internet.  That's what real life is for.

Way to say what I just said, only longer.

Well, aren't you just so much better than the rest of us? So why are you here, then? Certainly not just to stalk Corpie...?

I write in complete sentences.Sometimes they are fragmented with an overusage of comma's.Sam,you certainly must've been able to ascertain enough information to make a sarcastic, condescending comment....If I had a dime for everytime someone here complained about my grammar...Well,I've written like this for years and I'm not fucking changing.Sam or anyone else,if my threads/posts are annoying, bothersome, fucking ignore them. It's very easy, just read something else! That way,you won't waste your time, bitching about my grammar and I won't waste my time replying to something that has the significance of a daily bowel movement....

hey, hold your horses people!

lee - at the end of the day it's up to you of course, but feck knows your stuff would be easier to read if you made the effort to type it up properly. it's hard to make new friends that way. the people who know and like you will read your stuff and reply of course like i'm doing right now, but people who have yet to meet you or make up their mind about what you're like would be put off by your style. no hard feelings, just my two cent! :)

sam - and what do you think bitching like that achieves? nothing but angry defiance, as we've seen in lee's reply. you're making good points, but making them in a slightly more palatable manner would help matters enormously. again, no hard feelings, ok? :)

:-)

My fault. My sarcastic nature got the better of me. I just thought Sam's remark was tactless and insensitive, but to say so seemed....tactless and insensitive :) So i chose the less direct sarcastic route. Anyway, no big deal, i guess it just depends on whether you prefer tact and sensitivity or good sentence structure! It certainly wasn't my intent to make a fuss over it. Sorry people..

You know what, though? It was tactless and insensitive, and I'm glad you said what you did. Otherwise 'someone' might have said something much more caustic. So don't you dare be sorry. :)
