I got mine yesterday. Very happy indeed. Question, on the cd sleeve, it says 2006 REM in the stencil cutouts, can anyone decipher what the last line is, or is jsut nothig at all> Hubby and I were both trying pretty hard to figure out if it said anything :) Prolyl listen to the cd tonight when I have more time to enjoy it. Calendar is nice and pics look great. Love my Christmas Card, and my shiny sticker too.
My nukber is 3939 btw.

I posted about the package in another thread so will just recap to say that apart from the cover of Tongue it's fanfuckingtastic and I love it. And my number is 2088.

The calendar is most certainly FABULOUS! The first Picture (January) is my new all time favorite picture. I think that this is the most wonderful R.E.M. calendar ever!! Our boys look fantastic and I am very happy to have been at most of the r.e.m. reunion events over 2006. God Bless R.E.M. and my friend MizMills, who is ALWAYS:p there with me...doing our r.e.m. thing....!

I got it!! :D No. 2563. My envelope came a little creased, but thankfully everything inside was intact! I am VERY happy!! Thank you R.E.M.!! :D :D
OK, after the first listen...I actually think Tongue sounds really good! The woman has a good voice! As for the 2 R.E.M. tracks, we all know what to expect! I couldn't even finish listening to These Days, it just sounded sloppy to me. The rest of it is going onto the iPod right now!
As everyone else here has pointed out, the calendar is a thing of beauty! Awesome pictures! Who's the guy with Mike & Bill in the December pic?

Does that calendar seriously say 2006?
The CD and sticker say 07. It's kinda confusing, but not a real problem! Just a technicality. :)

The last line looks like a 4 then a 1, can't tell what the next symbol is, and an arrow. Could that be a cryptic message meaning the 1(band) is now back to 4 (org. members)?

To me, it looks like the number 4 then TRAKS as in 4 Tracks on the single? I like your theory honeycomb, unfortunately, I think that's asking for a lot! Would be nice though. :)

I can see that now Remfan. It does say mention on the back of the calander that the four org. members were in Athens to rehearse and record a new single. So maybe the 4 trx could be hinting at a new 4 track single with the original members. I love conspiracy theories.

Received today! Listened to the Cd while making bed - I like the take on "Tongue", though it's not my fav song. The calendar is a thing of beauty; in fact, the posted picture and words really don't do the package justice. It's a really sharp-looking, cool thing to hold in the hands.

well
Love the package. And I think Tongue is great...
I have been a FC member since 98 - while I always enjoy the package, this may be my second favorite (after Ambulance Blues/Country Feedback with Neil)
thanks to everyone at REMHQ

I finally got mine today... which is kinda strange because Donna got hers 3 or 4 days ago.
Anyway, Donna's number is 3509 or something like that. Not sure what mine is because I never open them. Eventually, I hope to retire on selling a complete set of unopened fanclub packages starting with 98 on ebay.. :p

I got mine I'm not sure when, because I was out of town for two days. So either Friday or Saturday it came.
I have only flipped through it quickly but I do like it. The photos with Bill in the calendar brought a little tear or two to my eyes. Mine is #399.

I couldn't agree more! I get a good buzz everytime I hold it. Even the smell of it is intoxicating! :p

Mine came yesterday, no.6558. Very snazzy-looking, and I was pleased to see the R.E.M. tracks on there with the covers

When I finally took a break from de-snotting my nose, I remembered where to look to find the number - mine is 6851. Last year I was 3305, so it must not be a permanent assignment.
And yes, I'm having a clogged-up season, but it is getting better.

Mine arrived on Friday, but because of all of the chaos in my house I haven't had a moment to write about it. It's my first fanclub christmas package EVER! I was so excited when I saw the black envelope. :) I even broke my rule of not looking ahead in the calendar, so I could see all the pretty pictures. I love the design, it's very sleek and the colors are wonderful to look at.
I listened to the CD for the first time last night. I was a little underwhelmed with So. Central Rain, as others have mentioned, but I loved Tongue. That was a treat.
By the way, what does the CD cover say? I can distinguish "2" and "R.E.M." but nothing else.

This year, and maybe last, my package wasn't sealed, I seem to remember a clear round sticker being over the flap on the package in years past. Basically anyone in the post office could have opened the package emptied it and closed it and I probably wouldn't have noticed the tampering. I got mine on Friday the 22nd, nice even number 350 on the cd.
