Hi all

I got my fanclub package today. I got a buzz when it arrived, as always. Bless them for sending it in time for Christmas (mine cost $3.35 to post, plus production costs  - can't even cover the $12 subscription).

Nice calendar (yes, it does say 2006 on the front cover  ). Haven't listened to the CD yet, but feel more confident about playing it now peeps say it's OK.  I haven't got a sticker :( 'though. I'll send David a card in the New Year. My number is 5696.

I hope you all have a Happy Christmas and a Healthy New Year.

Take Great Care

Does that calendar seriously say 2006?

Yes, and it says 2006 on the cover of the CD, too. Hence I guess they refer to 2006 as the year of the Christmas package.

Oh, cover versions of Tongue and These Days suck, by the way... ;)

Just got mine, listening to it now. The sticker looks pretty cool. the trouble is, I don't know of anywhere "worthy" enough to have it stuck!

It's great seeing Bill. And am I misreading it or are they saying on the back of the calender that Bill's in on a new studio track?!

Is it me or has no-one reviewed the single yet?? Lots of comments on the packaging so far but apart from the contents of the single nobody's rated it. So whaddya think?? Mine hasn't arrived yet. Maybe they left me off the list this year :p

Considering your comments in the different spoiler threads, I wouldn't be surprised if they did...to your satisfaction as well, I presume. :p

Anyway, we get four songs, including a brilliant cover take of Tounge, and Bill playing on two tracks. We get a calender where some eights out of twelve pictures contain Bill, and all twelve pictures were taken at events where Bill played with the band. Anyone complaining??? I hope not.

I'm still waiting for my package, but I'm in the US, so we get ours after the international folks...As long I get mine by Saturday, I'll be happy.  It's good to hear that people are liking the covers!  It just goes to show that all the complaining prior to receiving it was for nothing! ;)

P.S. as much as I wanted to NOT look at the spoilers, I couldn't resist!  Even though I know what's in it, receiving it will still be a huge thrill for me! :)

I just couldn't resist taking a peek! That's awesome that we're getting four tracks this year, and two of them are performed by REM. So was all that panic back in that OTHER fan club thread worth it? I don't think so. Shows that when it really counts, the boys pull through for the fans.

I still haven't gotten mine, but the excitement builds each day!

I'm in Australia, but I don't think I will receive mine til after Christmas. I did the sums seven working days it takes to get post from the states and they said it was sent last Friday that leaves one day short.

Well at least I get something special after Christmas....

Whee! I'm soooo happy that the rumors were greatly exaggerated.

Sounds like it's all great. And it makes me feel a little better about missing the 40 Watt show by 2 days. Didn't say it made things ALL better, but a little! :)

Yeah, that would sure teach me not to express an opinion that isn't gushing praise. I don't deserve a Holiday package from the fanclub, because I am not in  love with ATS and am also not crazy about half the songs on the cd being performed by  artists other than REM.  Please feel free to pelt me with rotten eggs and spray paint INGRATE on my car. :*
