My hubby's holiday package has arrived today. Should it be one of the first ones to hit a fan club member's home?
It's designed mostly in black and dark grey and looks very stylish. There is a nice calendar that has many pics of the band with Bill Berry, a 4-track-CD from the Finest Worksongs tribute (two of the tracks performed by R.E.M. - So. Central Rain and Begin The Begin, and two tracks by other performers, including the 'Tongue' performance' and 'These Days'), a Christmas card and a black cool sticker.
Thanks a lot to the fan club and the band! I hope mine will arrive soon, too. Happy holidays, everybody. :)

Mine arrived today, and I'm not a million miles from you so hopefully yours won't be long. I love the calendar pics - doesn't Bill look well?

Mine also got here today. I like the packaging of everything and thought there were some good pics in the calendar. I haven't listened to the CD yet though.

Sounds exciting, I didn't want to even think about it until someone actually got it, and we knew exactly what was in it. I'm stoked! Can''t wait for mine to arrive now.

Is it me or has no-one reviewed the single yet?? Lots of comments on the packaging so far but apart from the contents of the single nobody's rated it. So whaddya think?? Mine hasn't arrived yet. Maybe they left me off the list this year :p

Hmmh, what do you want to know? I have only listened to it once and I think that there have been better performances of So. Central Rain. Begin The Begin is a good performance, if I remember correctly. The two cover versions are excellent, both bands are very original.

Does that calendar seriously say 2006?

i just listened to it - i really like the Tongue version by Tin Cup Prophette, although it could be a little bit more unique in some moments - hard to describe.
So. Central Rain - well what should I say – I always loved this song, and with this one there another live version on my iTunes R.E.M. Playlist ;-)
These Days (sung by The Observatory) is nice too, but the voices some kind of weak an with less emotions (imho) I guess I need to listen to it several times and a lot louder.
And the last one: Begin the Begin (live) same as I said for So. Central Rain.
About the package everything is said and it can be seen in my previous post.

I just got my Christmas package and that really made a bad day turn great. Bill looks fantastic and well rested. The cd is great. The version of so. central rain and begin the begin kicks ass. They should have put their recording of tongue and these days on it themselves though.(my opinion)
Great sticker for my electric guitar for playing the rem tunes. Can't wait for the new album.

Mine has arrived today. :)
I never got my package as early as this year. :)
I forgot to mention that the calendar and CD packaging smell as if they have only just come from the printing press. This smell of new. I like it.
