The only time I ever saw REM was on The Today show about 5 years ago. My friend and I spent the night walking around New York, arrived where they were setting up the stage at about 5 am, and froze in plaid pants until they came on. the other highlight was since I was on crutches at the time, I got to stand right up front, and I was able to maneuver a big foam finger right behind Katie Couric's head so it looked like I was slapping her on national television.

Was this during the release of In Time? They performed Get Up, and there was a girl right in front jumping up and down with Michael. Was that by any chance you ?

BTW...this and the Early Show in NYC... but no Saturday Night Live or Letterman as of yet. As someone else mentioned, maybe they are saving those for the tour and the next single.

So does that mean they will be playing at both 8:45 and 9:45 EDT? Maybe two songs? I haven't watched the Today Show in ages, but as I recall, they usually only show part of one or two songs. If they played Hollow Man or Man Sized Wreath, they might be able to show the whole song!

Yeah, I'm actually surprised about that. When was the last time they did SNL? Was it for MOTM? I remember them doing Bad Day on Letterman a few years ago. I really want to see them play with Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report.

Oh thank goodness I don't go into school until noon on that day. Yes!! I'd like to see them do SNL, again.

It was in October 2003, so maybe? They did Get Up and Bad Day and one other song.

Except I'm not a girl.
