If folks haven't done so yet, I suggest checking out the works of the man who penned the song, John Prine. He has been one of my favorites since I first started getting into music back in the early to mid-70s. And as far as writing songs, he is among the very best out there. I would be hard pressed to name one bad song he's written. Songs I like less than others? Sure but I don't think he's ever written a bad one.
