MORE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES ADDED:

ST. PAUL--JUNE 5TH

R.E.M. will return to the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota, on June 5th. The guys last played St. Paul's Xcel in 2004 on the Vote For Change tour with Bruce Springsteen and Bright Eyes. You might remember that was also the night Neil Young got on stage. Support will be provided by Modest Mouse and The National.

Now of course the story of legend, but 28 years ago it was another spring night in Athens, GA when R.E.M. took the stage in the church on on Oconee, banged out some covers and originals and started something that lives on.

From Baby I and Narrator to Living Well Is the Best Revenge, the band may falter, may stumble, but they always move and will always keep moving.

28 years is a long time, but 28 years is just the beginning it seems. Music will provide the light you can not resist indeed.

CBS will rerun the CBS Sunday Morning segment on the guys tomorrow at 10:00AM EST. It is a shorter edit than what was shown on Sunday, but should still be good. The CBS Sunday Morning segment was filmed in and around Athens, GA while the band was rehearsing for the promo tour.
